So then: her brief bright day is done
And one more link to the past is broken
No regrets now for songs that were left unsung
Or for words that were left unspoken
Darker now, this view from the stage
That shows yet one more empty place
As time, indifferent, turns the page
On yet one more dear, familiar face
But she still lives in my heart - then she always did
In some small,warm comforting measure
Celebrate then, a life well lived
And love: life's timeless treasure
